A Small Group Ministry is...
...a great place to uncover God's purpose for your abilities,
...a place to give service to others in the name of Christ,
...a place where you can search the Bible with fellow
explorers for relevant applications for you life,
...a place to meet new people and make new friends,
...a place that will give you a sense of belonging.

"We respond to the Good News of Jesus Christ by
serving the community and the world."

Our purpose is to be an open community of believers who proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord and who recognize that new possibilities are realized in a common growth in worship, study, fellowship, and mission.

Small groups provide a way for Christians to look at themselves and their churches in new and creative ways. God's voice of vision for the church is "See, I am making all things new" (Revelations 21:5).

We have four committees who do the administrative ministries of the church such as finance, personnel, and building maintenance.

Our program ministries are now being carried out through the organization of small groups of people who serve in ministries where they have an interest and feel a calling. Our small groups are also places of warmth and sharing where people can establish closer ties and receive the supportive fellowship and caring of others.

We are currently forming small group ministry teams for the areas of worship, missions, and Christian Education. Those interested may contact the church office at 362-2091.

Existing small groups are always open to newcomers. They include:

Card Care
This small group recycles greeting cards and sends them to members, visitors, those who are ill, and others in the community. The card care group meets on Monday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

Fish and Loaves
This small group works with the local food pantry and the Meals programs in the community to help feed hungry people here and also encourages our participation in hunger missions throughout the world. The group meets at 11:00 am on the second Thursday of the month.

Quilting Ministry
This new group is making quilts as gifts for members, for others in the community, and other places where their mission efforts might be needed. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday at 3:00 pm.

Open Arms
This group is taking our denomination-wide invitation: "Open hearts, open minds, open doors" one step further by providing an "Open Arms" ministry to welcome visitors and newcomers. Meetings are on the first Wednesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m.

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor death, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:38-39
